Drain Camera at Mantank

A drain camera is a little different to the standard cameras you are used to. In fact, a drain camera is a highly specialised piece of equipment. However, the job it does is very simple; it lets us see into the drain. Often, a problem in a drain is difficult to see; either it’s out of reach or it’s buried deep beneath the surface. Before the evolution of drain cameras, teams like Mantank would have had to gain access to the drain through any means possible; this could have involved digging up large areas of concrete, depending on the location. However, thanks to drain cameras, this is no longer the case. Instead of one of the Mantank team heading into the drain, we use a drain camera.

By using a drain camera, we are able to identify the problem and find a solution, all without having to gain access to the drainage system ourselves. This cuts down on the level of work required and the amount of disruption caused. There are a number of other benefits that come with using a drain camera, such as cutting down the costs for our customers. As less manpower and time is required when compared to opening up the drainage system in its entirety, using a drain camera can actually be a much more affordable method of solving a drainage problem. Plus, it allows us to accurately see what is going on and where the problem stems from. This helps us to come up with the best solution, without needing to rely on trial and error.
