Vacumation Technology

At Mantank we have always placed a high priority on investment in the latest technology and the most advanced equipment available. Such investment is considered essential in order for us to maintain standards, safety and efficiencies, resulting ina more cost effective solution for our customers. This also allows Mantank to grantee high standards of work and reliability. Our investment in our fleet of vehicle mounted high air flow vaccumation units and other ancillary equipment has grown over the years enabling us to utilise the correct equipment to carry out the most arduous of tasks.

Liquid Ring Vaccumation Units
Mantanks liquid ring vaccumation units are, rigid vacuum tankers fitted with high performance liquid ring vacuum pumps, the pumps produce 1900 cfm and 90% vacuum which allows the unit to be used with 6” to 8” inlets and outlets to aid with the fast loading and discharge of materials. They operate with medium sized jetting pumps producing 3000 psi at 20 ltrs per min. The tanks are manufactured from 316 stainless steel, have a fully opening hydraulically operated rear door and operate as tipper units with a 40 tip angle.

These tankers are ideal for uplifting liquids and heavy sludge materials. Due to of the high performance of the pump such materials can be loaded from depth and drawn long distances. Once the tanker is loaded it can either transfer on site or transport the load to a suitable disposal facility.

The tankers have hazchem marker boards, safety equipment and are suitable for carrying hazardous wastes. Liquid ring vaccumation units, as well as being very efficient at dealing with the heavier more difficult work operate equally well on the more straight forward tasks such as cleaning interceptors, bund areas and oil tanks.

Dry Vaccumation Technology
This method of vaccumation is used for the uplifting and handling of dry materials including carbons, cement, sands, gravel, perlite, grain and many more dry dusty materials. The dry materials can be recovered from almost any situation including carbon filter vessels, hoppers, pits, silos, tanks, tankers or loose on the ground.

Mantank's most recent addition to the dry vacuumation fleet is an articulated unit. Used as a separate unit it could be uplifting spilt product from the floor and blowing it back into a silo, or it could be used by branching one suction hose with other smaller hoses allowing several operatives to vacuum large dusty areas.

Using the unit in conjunction with a bagging hopper the dry material being uplifted will be deposited in the bagging hopper then transferred into one tonne euro bags. Using the unit in conjunction with a vacuum skip the dry material being uplifted will be deposited in the skip until full when it will be replaced with an empty skip. In both cases this would allow more basic transport to be used to transfer the material and leave the vacuumation equipment free to do the specialist work.

Mantank have been specialising in the field of vacuumation for over ten years and we continue to develop and identify new applications for its use. Every job we undertake is different but together with our experience and the right equipment Mantank will find a fast, cost effective solution to the problem.
