Filter Presses
Disposing of liquid sewage is expensive. Mantank can reduce its volume considerably in most cases. Mantank Environmental Services has developed it own innovative filter press mechanism that traps particles within liquid waste so efficiently that what is left is water that may be recycled back to production processes. Depending on the nature of the waste, the filtered particles may be compacted into 'cakes'. In one case where the process was adapted for use in a chemical manufacturer, Mantank found this waste became useful as a raw material for another application, making the filter press doubly beneficial.
Filter Presses
Filter presses can de-water sludge by forcing it through
a fine mesh. The mesh traps contaminants into 'cakes', which
are far easier to dispose of (and in some cases can be re-used),
while most of the water can be recycled. There are self-contained
units for heavy duty applications, each comprising its own
pumping system with a full membrane plate pack for the heavier
applications. Mobile de-watering systems, with conventional
plate packs, can be installed and set up quickly for a variety
of short-term applications. These innovative products were
developed by Mantank specifically to handle problems encountered
by a client.
